We've collected the questions clinic teams ask most often about WADOG. If you can't find your answer, message our support team on WhatsApp.
What's the difference between WADOG and the official WhatsApp Business API? WADOG connects your existing number to the panel by QR code as a "linked device", like WhatsApp Web; setup takes minutes and there is no 24-hour rule or template approval. The official API is Meta's approved infrastructure; setup takes longer but carries no restriction risk from the tool itself. Comparison table: What is WADOG and how does it work?
Can WhatsApp shut down my number? Yes, there is a risk. WADOG uses the unofficial Web method, which is not in line with WhatsApp's terms of service. The risk grows with bulk messages, cold lists, and frequent blocks and reports. In one-to-one chats started by patients the risk is low, but not zero. See Bulk sending and number safety.
Does my phone need to stay on all the time? No, the panel works as an independent linked device. But don't leave the phone off or offline for long, and open WhatsApp regularly; otherwise WhatsApp may log out the linked device session and you'll need to reconnect the number.
Can I connect a number that's on the WhatsApp Business app? Yes. Numbers on both WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business connect by QR, and you keep using them on the phone.
How many numbers can I connect? There's no limit on numbers in WADOG. Each coordinator can connect their own line, and you assign numbers to users and teams. See Users, teams and routing.
Are my old WhatsApp chats imported into the panel? No. The panel records messages from the moment the connection is made. Messages you type on the phone after connecting are synced to the panel.
Which number does the patient hear back from? The number already used with that patient (the "sticky number"). On first contact, the writing user's default number is used, or failing that the account's default number.
Do photos and X-rays sent by patients reach the panel? Yes. The files of photos, videos, documents and voice messages arrive in Conversations. Stickers and emoji reactions aren't passed on. See Messaging with WADOG.
Can I answer WhatsApp calls from the panel? No. Calls ring on the phone; if Aramaları kaydet (Log calls) is on, a "📞 WhatsApp sesli arama" (voice call) note is added to the chat in the panel.
Why don't button messages show for some patients? Button and list messages are experimental with this method; WhatsApp changes these message types often. Also give important information as plain text, and test each template on your own phone first. See Message builder.
Can I send bulk messages from a WADOG number? Technically yes; messages go through a slowed-down bulk lane. But send only to patients who have chatted with you and given consent, in small groups. Use the official API for campaign and marketing messages.
Can I write to WhatsApp groups from the panel? You can see group messages in the panel, but you can't reply to a group from Conversations. If you'd like automatic notices sent to a group, our team can configure this during setup. See WhatsApp groups.
How do I know my connection has dropped? The number card turns red, the status becomes Bağlı değil (Not connected) and a warning appears on the home page. Reconnect with QR okut (Scan QR). Details: WADOG troubleshooting.
Can I use WADOG and the official API at the same time? Yes, with different numbers. For example, connect your ad line to the official API and coordinators' personal lines to WADOG. Don't connect the same number to both methods.
