Bulk sending and number safety
WADOG's live and bulk sending lanes, random delays and spintax; warming up, consent and safe-use rules to protect your number.

Numbers connected through WADOG work with WhatsApp's unofficial Web method. That means how much you send, and to whom, directly affects the health of your number. This article explains how WADOG slows sending down and the rules to follow to protect your number.
Heads up
No WADOG setting guarantees that your number won't be restricted. WhatsApp can restrict a number temporarily or permanently based on reports and blocks. For bulk and marketing sends such as campaigns, announcements and reminders, use the official WhatsApp Business API.
Two-lane queue
Each number has two separate sending queues (lanes):
| Lane | Which messages? | Wait per message (default) |
|---|---|---|
| Live | Replies a user types in Conversations, auto-replies | 1.5–4 seconds |
| Bulk | Messages sent by bulk actions, automations and the API | Text 3–6 seconds, media (image/video/document) 7–10 seconds |
- Before each message there is a random wait within that range, and the patient sees "typing…".
- Messages go one at a time, in order in each lane; two messages never leave the same number at once.
- The two lanes are independent: while a bulk send is running, a coordinator's reply to a patient does not wait behind it.
- If a message can't be sent (e.g. the connection dropped briefly), it is retried automatically a few times at growing intervals; if it still fails, it is marked as failed.
When more than 50 messages are waiting, the Gönderim kuyruğu (Sending queue) step of the Sorun Giderme → Giden mesajlar (Troubleshooting → Outgoing messages) wizard shows a warning.
These waits are deliberately slow: 500 text messages in the bulk lane take roughly 25–50 minutes from the waits alone. Splitting the send across several numbers to go faster is not a solution; each number carries its own risk.
Spintax: don't send the exact same message to everyone
The same text going word for word to hundreds of people is a sign of automated sending. Use spintax to create small differences on each send:
{Hello|Hi} {{contact.first_name}}, we'd like to {remind you of|confirm} your {consultation|video call}.
Spintax works in auto-replies, message builder templates, and messages sent by automations and the API. In messages you type one by one in Conversations, the curly brackets are sent as they are.
Bulk messaging in MedicalGrow and WADOG
In MedicalGrow you can send bulk messages from the Contacts screen. If your account is in "replacing SMS" mode, bulk SMS sends go out on WhatsApp through WADOG and enter the bulk lane.
Important
If you bulk send from a WADOG number, send only to patients who have already chatted with you and agreed to receive messages, in small groups. Never send to bought, old or non-consented lists (cold lists). It's the fastest way to get a number restricted.
For bulk sends, use the panel's drip mode (sending in batches) and leave long gaps between batches.
Best practice for number health
Warm up a new number. For the first days after connecting a new or newly opened number, only reply to patients who write to you. Increase your volume slowly over weeks.
Let the patient start the conversation. The safest traffic for WADOG is one-to-one chats the patient starts: a message from an ad button, the WhatsApp link on your website, a patient you spoke to by phone writing to you.
Get consent and offer a way out. In information messages add a line such as "Reply STOP if you don't want to receive messages", and remove those who ask straight away. Add a note to the record of a patient who says "please stop writing".
Avoid blocks and reports. Being blocked a lot in a short time is the strongest restriction signal. Irrelevant, frequent or late-night messages get blocked.
Use links carefully. Don't put a link in every message; avoid shortened links.
Respect the patient's clock. Send bulk messages during the day in the patient's local time; allow for the different weekend for Gulf patients.
Protect your main number. Use the main number patients know by heart only for one-to-one chats. Use a separate line for tests and heavy sending — or move to the official API.
Take WhatsApp's warnings seriously. If you see a warning such as "your account is temporarily restricted" on the phone, stop sending at once and message our support team.
Example: a safe reminder flow
You're sending reminders to 12 patients who have operations next week. All of them have chatted with you on WhatsApp before. Prepare the message with spintax, add the name field, and spread the 12 sends across the day rather than all at once. For a 300-person "campaign" list, though, don't use WADOG — use the official API with an approved template.
