Customising widgets
Add widgets to your dashboard, choose chart types and conditions, and move, resize, duplicate or delete widgets.

Widgets are the individual indicators on the Dashboard. Every clinic cares about different figures: some want leads by source, others the number of patients who've paid a deposit, others the no-show rate for consultations. This article shows you how to add widgets, give them filters (conditions) and arrange the layout.
Before you start
- You need Edit or Full access to the dashboard. Only an admin can edit the default clinic dashboard; you can create your own dashboard and edit it freely. See Custom dashboards.
- Your changes aren't visible to others until you save them with Save Changes.
Adding a widget
- Click the pencil icon in the top right of the Dashboard to put it into edit mode. Widget borders turn dashed.
- Click + Add Widget. The widget list opens on the right.
- Use the filters at the top to pick a chart type (Numeric, Donut, Line, Bar, Horizontal Bar, Table) and choose a widget from the list. Widgets are grouped by data type: Opportunities, Contacts, Appointments, Conversations and so on. Use the search box to find what you need.
When you select a widget, its settings window opens:
- In the Widget Settings window, give the widget a clear title and change the chart type if needed. E.g. "Germany leads by source".
- On the Conditions tab, add conditions: use Add Filter to set the first condition (e.g. Country is Germany). Use + AND for another condition in the same group, and + Add Filter again for an alternative (OR) group.
- Click Save to add the widget to the dashboard. To add more widgets, repeat the same steps with + Add Widget.
- When you're done, save the dashboard with Save Changes in the top right.
Tip
Conditions are per widget. You can place "All leads" and "Implant leads only" widgets side by side on the same dashboard and compare them.
Which chart type should I use?
| Chart | Best for | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Numeric | A single number and its change vs the previous period | Opportunities won this month |
| Donut | Parts of a whole | Leads by source |
| Line | Trends over time | New leads per week |
| Bar / Horizontal Bar | Comparing categories | Opportunities per stage, appointments per user |
| Table | A list of records | Last 10 won opportunities |
Moving, resizing, duplicating and deleting
- Drag a widget by the six-dot handle to the left of its title and drop it in its new position.
- Drag the bottom-right corner of a widget to change its width and height.
- Use the three-dot menu in the top right of a widget to Edit (change settings), Duplicate (make a copy) or Delete it.
- Save your changes with Save Changes. To discard them, click Cancel and the dashboard returns to its last saved state.
Heads up
Deleting a widget on a shared dashboard deletes it for everyone who sees that dashboard. If in doubt, clone the dashboard first and work on the copy.
Example: a patient coordinator dashboard
A simple dashboard for Mehmet Demir, the German-speaking coordinator:
- Numeric: "New leads assigned to me" (Conditions: Assigned User = Mehmet Demir).
- Numeric: "Today's consultations" (Appointments, calendar: Online Consultation).
- Bar: "My opportunities by stage" (Pipeline: Patient Journey, Assigned User = Mehmet Demir).
- Table: "Treatment plan sent, awaiting deposit".
This becomes the first thing Mehmet looks at each morning and makes it clear who needs a call.
Good practice
- Keep a dashboard to 8–10 widgets at most. Too many charts hide the figure that matters.
- Put the most important indicator in the top left — that's where the eye goes first.
- State the condition in widget titles ("Germany – implant – new leads"). Untitled widgets get misread over time.
- For sales figures, pick the right date property on the widget (created date or status change). See Date ranges and filters.
Common issues
I can't see the Add Widget button. The dashboard isn't in edit mode, or you only have View access.
A widget shows "No data". The conditions may be too narrow; try removing them one at a time. Check the date range too.
My changes disappeared. If you left edit mode without clicking Save Changes, nothing was saved.
