Custom dashboards
Create several dashboards per team, market or treatment; share them, set permissions and choose your default.

One dashboard can't meet everyone's needs. The clinic owner wants revenue and conversion rate, the marketing lead wants the source breakdown and coordinators want to see their own patients. In MedicalGrow you can create as many dashboards as you like and decide who can view and edit each one.
Before you start
- You need Dashboard permission to create dashboards.
- To share a dashboard with others, you must own it or have Full access.
Switching between dashboards
Click the dashboard name in the top left to open the dashboard selector:
- My Dashboards: Dashboards you've created.
- Shared With Me: Dashboards others have created and shared with you.
- Pin icon: Pins dashboards you use often to the top of the list.
- Search for a dashboard: Find a dashboard by name when you have many.
Creating a new dashboard
- Open the dashboard selector in the top left.
- Click + Add Dashboard at the bottom of the menu.
- Choose how to start: Create a Blank Dashboard, From Template Library or Clone Existing Dashboard.
- Give the dashboard a descriptive name, e.g. "Sales Team – October", "Germany Market", "Owner KPIs".
- Turn on Private Dashboard if only you should see it. Leave it off to share it with the team.
- If the dashboard isn't private, set access by role: choose Full, Edit, View or No Access for Account Admin and Account User.
- Click Save to create the dashboard, then add widgets: Customising widgets.
Access levels
| Level | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Full | View, edit, change permissions and delete. |
| Edit | View and add or edit widgets. |
| View | View only; they can change filters and the date range on their own screen. |
| No Access | Can't see the dashboard. |
Note
Dashboard access isn't access to the data itself. A user who can only see contacts assigned to them will only see figures for their own records on a shared dashboard too. See Restricting data access.
Managing a dashboard
- Click the three-dot (action menu) icon in the top right of the dashboard.
- Use Set as default dashboard to make this the dashboard you see first whenever you open the Dashboard.
- Use Manage permissions to change the dashboard's access levels later.
Other options in the menu:
- Clone: Makes a copy of the dashboard. Ideal for experimenting without breaking a shared dashboard.
- Manage dashboard timezone: Sets which time zone the dashboard uses to calculate figures. For a clinic in Turkey, usually choose the clinic's time zone; otherwise records near midnight may fall on the previous or next day.
- Delete: Permanently deletes the dashboard. It disappears for everyone who could see it.
A recommended set of dashboards
3–4 dashboards are enough for most medical-tourism clinics to start with:
| Dashboard | For | Example widgets |
|---|---|---|
| Owner KPIs | Owner, general manager | Won opportunities, pipeline value, conversion rate, sales by source |
| Sales Team | Coordinators | Opportunities by stage, appointments per user, awaiting deposit |
| Marketing | Ads lead | Leads by source, leads by country, leads per form |
| Market dashboard (e.g. Germany, UK) | Market lead | Every indicator, filtered by country |
For which figures to track, see the KPIs for clinic owners playbook.
Common issues
My colleague can't see the dashboard I shared. The dashboard may be marked Private, or No Access may be set for their role. Check Manage permissions.
Did the default dashboard change for everyone? Set as default dashboard works per user; it only changes your own landing dashboard.
